During the visit of the First Vice-President of the Business Chamber of Asian and Gulf Countries, David Tsirdava, to Kuwait among the discussed issues, an important place was given to establishing and deepening close cooperation in the field of culture.
To this end, he held high-level meetings and negotiations with the heads of the Tarek Rajab Museum of Islamic Calligraphy and the Bait Al Usman Museums. The parties unanimously noted that the culture of both countries is highly unique, interesting, and diverse, and introducing that to the masses will certainly contribute to closer friendly relations between our countries.
The Business Chamber of Asian and Gulf Countries expresses its readiness to be one of the first initiators and promoters of intercultural dialogue. 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kuwait and Georgia. Our first effective step will be to actively engage in events to celebrate this date with dignity. We intend with the involvement of the public and other agencies to organize spaces, conferences, and exhibitions in Georgia, where interested persons will have the opportunity to learn about the history, culture, religion, and traditions of Kuwait. Likewise, in order to popularize Georgian culture, similar activities should be dynamically continued and conducted in Kuwait as well.
With the desire for friendship and deep collaboration in the future, the parties exchanged symbolic gifts. From the side of Mr. David Tsirdava, it was a very famous miniature poem of “Vepkhistkaosani”, translated into Arabic, and from the head of Tarek Rajab Museum of Islamic calligraphy, Mr. Abbas Aldashti was manuscripts in the Kufic style made by him.
