As you are aware, last week the Business Chamber successfully conducted a regional tour titled “Export to the Gulf Countries: Potential and Opportunities.” The objective of this initiative was to identify and promote the export potential of local enterprises and farms.

As part of the tour, representatives from the Business Chamber conducted thematic and interactive meetings in four regional centers across Georgia.
On April 3, a concluding event took place in Tbilisi to summarize the tour, analyze the outcomes of the regional meetings, and formulate business-friendly decisions.
The event was attended by companies from the agro-sector that demonstrated a clear interest and technical readiness to advance through the export stages.
To enhance the effectiveness of the tour and achieve tangible results, the Business Chamber in alignment with the announcement, extended special invitations to prominent export, investment, and distribution companies from the Gulf countries.
The event commenced with a welcoming address from the First Vice President of the Business Chamber, Davd Tsirdava, who proceeded to discuss the outcomes of the regional tour.
The assembled audience was addressed by Alexander Potemkin, Honorary President of the Business Chamber of Asian & Gulf Countries and founder of the exporting company “Oasis Veritas.” Mr. Potemkin emphasized the practical, logistical, and operational aspects of export.
Specially invited guests from the Gulf countries also presented speeches during the meeting. They highlighted the significance of identifying the competitive advantages of Georgian products in the Arab markets, niche positioning, and the specific requirements of the Gulf markets.
It is important to highlight that the guests delivered a comprehensive presentation that included a visual representation of all legal and procedural steps necessary for export, along with a detailed description of individual licenses, certificates, and technical specifications for each category of export commodities.
The concluding segment of the event was dedicated to discussions and dynamic business conversations. This provided an opportunity for representatives of the Georgian companies in attendance to establish business connections with the invited guests, who expressed interest in exporting honey, water, berries, nuts, fermented milk products, and meat products.
The primary focus was on agricultural products; however, the Business Chamber is developing a distinct support policy for our member companies operating in other sectors, including the furniture company AG Team, which specializes in producing high-quality, sophisticated design furniture.
The Business Chamber team extends its sincere gratitude to all participants and supporters, both in the regions and in the capital, who shared the objectives of the event and actively engaged in this vital project for the business sector.
