The first vice president of the Business Chamber of Asian and Gulf Countries, David Tsirdava, held an introductory and at the same time working meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine, accredited to Georgia and Republic of Armenia, H.E. Arief Basalamah.
The general line of issues discussed at the meeting were the possibilities of economic relations between Georgia and Indonesia. Parties of the meeting discussed the opportunities to import wheat to Indonesia, to export Indonesian Halal food to Jordan, to promote Indonesian culture with the involvement of organizations in cooperation with the Business Chamber and close to it.
Also, special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in Georgia, both in the form of business forums and festivals. The mentioned events will unite and allow the participation of not only the representatives of the two countries, but also the diplomatic corps of the Asian and Arab states.
At the end of the meeting, as a sign of goodwill and friendship, David Tsirdava, on behalf of the Business Chamber presented a symbolic gift to His Excellency, a miniature edition of The Knight in the Panther’s Skin.
